Mini SPI – Coolant leak through the head gasket

Everything is ready to start the engine of the Mini 1275cc SPI after two long years of hard work!

Rebuilt engine, with dozens of new parts, restorated body, new wiring harness and thousands of hours of work to reach this point. The last step? Fill the cooling system with fresh coolant and turn the key.

Oh, wait, wait! There is a leak in the head gasket! WTF!!??

Yes, my Petrolhead friend, this little British bastard will not give up. He wants to make trouble until the end, and this has been, so far, the worst joke. We have a coolant leak through the head gasket.

In this new episode we will deal with several topics: we will summarise the problem we have, the tasks we have done so far in the engine and what new parts we have to start the investigation of this f*cking problem.

Mini, keep f*cking with us, keep making things difficult to finish your restoration, because everytime we trip up, we make two steps. We will defeat you!
